Root Candles pays tribute to the legacy created by founder Amos Ives Root with the introduction of Legacy by Root.  A. I. Root was a true innovator, entrepreneur, and visionary. He became the father of modern day beekeeping and in 1869 instilled his fundamental values of honesty, integrity, and “plain old hard work” within the Root Company. Today, 140 years later, those values still reside at the core of our company culture.  
To honor the legacy of Amos Ives Root, we are proud to introduce new Legacy by Root, a line that honors the fundamental values of A. I. Root himself.
