The Christ Candle is the centerpiece of the Advent wreath and the focus of Christmas Day the way He is the center and focus of our lives. The flame that is lit on Christmas Eve celebrates the arrival of the Christ_child, the light of our lives. Traditionally, the Christ candle is white, to symbolize purity. It is often decorated with a Chi Rho, an early symbol for Christ, comprised of the first two letters of the Greek word for Christ. Root offers both traditional and contemporary Christ candles of fine craftsmanship. Pure white pillars, 3” x 12” are decorated with either an elegant raised-wax appliqué or a simple, but lovely, Chi Rho decal. Ivory pillars are 4” x 9” and come with gilded center bands.
