Traditional Advent rings are a holiday staple that make the perfect accompaniment to our Advent candle set. Our brass finish Advent Candle Holder is used in the home to celebrate the season of Advent. The candle ring, which can be used as is or decorated with evergreen holds four individual, tapered candles and measures 8 inches in diameter. Our boxed Advent candle sets are sold separately. The perfect circle of the Advent ring symbolizes the eternity of God. The Advent Wreath symbolizes the coming of Christ.

The lighting of the Advent candle is a tradition in many churches and homes during the Advent season. Often four purple candles are used to represent each week in Advent. Sometimes one larger white Pillar candle is placed in the middle of the Advent wreath to represent Christ.

The lighting of the Advent candle each week heightens anticipation as children and adults celebrate Advent and prepare for Christmas. The wreath reminds us of whom we are called to be as followers of Jesus. Each Sunday of the Advent season, we focus on one of the four virtues Jesus brings us: Hope, Love, Joy and Peace. Some have an additional white candle or Christ candle which is lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day reminding Christians that Jesus is the light of the world.
